Patch Adobe Creative Cloud apps with GenP

GenP looks at the Adobe apps installed on your Windows PC and patches them in place, so Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and the rest of Creative Cloud keep working without a subscription. It is a single portable file, so there is nothing to install and nothing to uninstall. Questions are answered in the FAQ below, and the usage steps take about a minute.

Download

Download GenP 4.2.1
GenP-v4.2.1.exe · 62 MB · Windows 10/11 64-bit. All versions.

Only trust this page. Plenty of fake GenP builds float around forums and file sharing sites. The real build matches what the maintainers publish on GitHub.

Usage

  1. Grab GenP-v4.2.1.exe from the downloads page and start it. Windows will ask for administrator rights since Adobe apps sit under Program Files. Accept the prompt.
  2. Press Search and wait for the list of detected Adobe apps.
  3. Pick the ones you want and press Patch.
  4. Read the log panel: every app gets a success or failure line. If SmartScreen complains, choose More info → Run anyway. Open source tools are usually unsigned.

Adobe updates overwrite the patch, so after any Creative Cloud update just run GenP once more and patch that app again. The changelog tracks which Adobe builds each release handles.

What it supports

Version 4.2.1 covers the current Creative Cloud builds listed on the Adobe Creative Cloud page: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Animate, Audition, Media Encoder, Character Animator, Bridge, and Camera Raw.

FAQ

What does GenP do?
It scans your Windows machine for installed Adobe Creative Cloud applications and patches them locally. After patching, the apps run without an active subscription.
How much does GenP cost?
Nothing. GenP is free, and its source code is published on GitHub. The latest build is version 4.2.1 hotfix.
Will GenP work with my Adobe apps?
Current Creative Cloud builds of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Animate, Audition, Media Encoder, Character Animator, Bridge and Camera Raw are supported.
What are the steps to patch an Adobe app?
Start GenP and allow the administrator prompt, press Search so it lists your installed Adobe apps, select them and press Patch. Results appear in the log panel.
Can I run GenP on Windows 11?
Yes. Both Windows 10 and Windows 11 64-bit are supported. Administrator access is needed because Adobe apps live under Program Files.
Where can I get GenP safely?
From this site or from the official GitHub releases page. Watch out for fake GenP builds on forums and file sharing sites.
A Creative Cloud update broke my patched app.
Updates replace the patched files, so run GenP again and re-patch that app.
